2-in-1 sandwich shop and market opens in Toronto

A new spot bringing a sandwich counter and market under one roof is now open in Toronto.

Alfie’s Sandwiches and Market, located at 36 Baldwin St., officially opened its doors on April 8 in the heart of the city.

The shop’s menu features a selection of Italian sandwiches crafted with deli meats, cheeses and condiments layered on signature rolls.

While the current focus is on classic combinations, more vegetarian options are expected to be added soon.

Inside, shoppers will also find shelves stocked with premium pantry items, including artisanal cheeses, sourdough loaves, pastas, snacks and imported goods.

The team behind Alfie’s say the aim is to bring the essence of Italian flavours to life, whether through a made-to-order sandwich or a home-cooked meal prepared with items from its market.

The shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
