While the average prospective homebuyer is seeing small but sustained relief in the form of declining home prices, buyers with deeper pockets are still purchasing luxurious, one-of-a-kind properties in Toronto.

Last month, home prices in the Toronto/GTA region dropped about 5.4 per cent year-over-year to hit an average selling price of $1,107,463–just a little lower than the City of Toronto average of $1,144,977. Prices are far from low, but data shared by the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board indicates that price pressures are easing as more homes hit the market and sit for longer.
