Weekend weather: Rain, cloudy skies forecast in Toronto

Those heading out to check out the cherry blossoms this weekend will want to bring an umbrella.

The cherry blossoms are expected to be in peak bloom this weekend but the weather doesn’t want to cooperate.

Rainy weather is forecast for both Saturday and Sunday in Toronto.

There could be a bit of sun Saturday but it is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the morning, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

A high of 13 C and a low of 9 C are forecast. A UV index of seven or high is expected.

On Sunday, it is expected to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 14 C in the morning. In the evening, there is a  60 per cent chance of showers and a low of 11 C.

Rain is also in the forecast for the early part of next week in Toronto.
