Burgers might be the last thing you’d expect to get at most boba shops, but one tea spot has started serving them–and they’re already selling out.

Bobacha has locations in Mississauga and Etobicoke, but they just started selling burgers out of their Parkdale location.

“Bobacha and I are slowly opening a restaurant together that should be open by the summer,” chef Philip Nguyen says in a video posted to Bobacha’s Instagram. “But for now, come grab a smash burger.”

Posted near the end of March, the post said the burgers would be available the coming weekend. Responses to the Instagram post were already positive, and when the weekend rolled around a few days later, the smash burgers got lots of love.

The 100 per cent beef handmade burgers were also 30 per cent off that first weekend.

It wasn’t long before they posted again that weekend, saying they “sold out in record time.”

They said they’d be restocking soon, and that for the next two weeks burgers would still be 15 per cent off. Bobacha just posted on Friday confirming you can indeed now grab more of the restocked burgers for the reduced price.

While you’re at it, you can still grab specialty drinks from Bobacha, with options like cheesecake milk tea and smoothies.
