A cherished sandwich shop in Toronto is celebrating its new location by handing out free sandwiches.
Grandma Loves You, which started as a humble storefront in Rosedale a few years ago, has seen an explosion in popularity over the last few years and has opened up multiple new locations.
Founded by a German couple who recently emigrated to Canada, Grandma Loves You excels at robust and hearty sandwiches served on a fresh roll — think classic big city sandwich hits like meatball, turkey and cheese, chicken caesar.

Now, to celebrate the opening of their new location in Liberty Village, Grandma Loves You will be slinging upwards of over 200 free sandwiches alongside a crisp bottle of Jarritos to the public this weekend — as a thank you for being welcomed with open arms into a new community.

These subs are only set to be handed out while supplies last, so those inclined to a weekend lunch they’ll never forget, better clear their morning plans.
The new Liberty Village Grandma Loves You can be found on 901 King St West, and their free sandwich day is set for tomorrow, Feb. 21.
