Restaurants that closed in April sadly didn’t make it to summertime in Toronto, and we’ll definitely miss the great eats they used to provide to their neighbourhoods. However, spring is a season of rebirth, so it’s out with the old, in with the new.

Barrio

The beginning of the month saw the end of this restaurant that served Mexican food to the Leslieville neighbourhood for almost a decade.

St. Lo

This restaurant in the St. Lawrence Market area served sophisticated small plates and kept the drinks flowing, but sadly had to say goodbye to the community near the end of the month.

Mercatino E Vini

Leslieville lost this source for high end wines and specialty foods from popular local hospitality group Ascari close to the end of April.
