A storefront selling vegan food has announced they’ll be shutting the doors of their physical space.

Aunty Em’s Deli has been known as a destination for vegan food, and also exists as a pop-up and catering entity and sells vegan hot dogs as Sausage Party. They’ve also been making vegan pizzas for sale at the shop and pop-ups.

Now, they’ve announced they’ll be pivoting to focus on catering and pop-ups, and will be saying goodbye to the storefront.

“Three whole years of our little vegan storefront! While I’m sad we won’t see you every day you better believe we have some VERY exciting things in the works,” reads a social media post signed by Em herself.

“Thanks for all the support for the past three years! So many customers have become my dear friends.”

Aunty Em’s Deli will retain the space for pop-ups without regular open hours, and they’ll also be doing pop-ups all over the city after the shop closes.

“Aunty Ems was my life long goal, since I started out as a dishwasher at 15 and through the next 22 years(!) in hospitality,” the post continues. “I’m so honoured to be closing by choice to follow my next dream! Hope you’ll be along for the journey!!”

The last day for walk-ins at Aunty Em’s Deli will be July 6.
