A restaurant serving pan-Asian food has announced they’ll be closing their Toronto space indefinitely while they look for a new one.

Bar’kada first opened in 2020, and took up residence in Parkdale where they served up not only delicious pan-Asian food, brunch and cocktails, but also beats with live DJs performing.

The restaurant took to social media to give people an update on their situation in an emotional video.

“After 5 years of creating a space filled with good food, good vibes, and unforgettable memories, we have some difficult news to share: Bar’kada will be closing its doors as we work towards finding a new home,” reads the caption to a video post signed by the Bar’kada team.

“The challenges of the past year have been tough on small restaurants like ours, but we are so grateful for the unwavering support of our amazing customers and team. Your love and loyalty carried us through the hardest times, and we can’t thank you enough.”
