A restaurant with multiple locations has permanently closed their Hamilton spot.
Everest Tandoori Kitchen serves Indian, Hakka and Nepali cuisine like momos, fried rice, Hakka noodles, chili chicken and biryani. The restaurant once had three locations including their place in Hamilton, but now they’re down to two.
“Our Hamilton location has permanently closed due to local business conditions and overall sustainability,” reads a social media post on the Hamilton account for Everest Tandoori Kitchen. “We sincerely thank you for your continued support over the years.”

There aren’t many comments on the post, but the few that are there are heartfelt, with people writing “I really enjoyed the food and service,” “Thank you Everest team! Will miss your Hakka noodles,” “You’ll be missed,” “Sorry to hear that Hamilton did not work out well for you,” and “Thanks for your service for 2 years.”
In terms of the local business conditions mentioned in the post, one commenter had this to say: “Hamilton people don’t spend on restaurants. I see people in Hamilton don’t go to restaurants once in a month, forget about once in a week.”
The St. Catharines and Welland locations of Everest Tandoori Kitchen are still open.
