Chick-Fil-A is opening another location in the Waterloo Region in Cambridge.
The American fast food chain is known for their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
Chick-Fil-A has stirred up controversy in the LGBTQ community due to the conservative values of former CEO Dan Cathy, with protests often breaking out during openings.
There are locations of Chick-Fil-A on Queen West and at Yonge and Bloor, the Eaton Centre, Shops at Don Mills, Scarborough Town Centre and Square One.
A location in Kitchener on Fairway Road opened in August 2021. The first restaurant for Chick-Fil-A outside of the United States opened in 2019 in Toronto.
The Waterloo Region Record reports that Chick-Fil-A has ambitions to expand to 20 locations in Canada by 2025 with plans to continue to open even more after that. They also report that plans show the Cambridge Chick-Fil-A will have a two-lane drive-thru and 12 parking spots.
The second Chick-Fil-A in the Waterloo Region will open in 2025 outside the Cambridge Centre at 355 Hespeler Rd.
