A Look at the Most Expensive and Cheapest Houses in Mississauga

Like nearly every city in the GTA, it is difficult to purchase a home in Mississauga.

While not the most difficult city in Canada for potential homeowners, Mississauga can be tough on buyers.

Zoocasa says demand for Mississauga homes for sale slowed slightly in March compared to last year’s activity, with a total of 713 homes sold, marking a 7.2 per cent decline.

That downturn was enough to outpace the contraction in new listings. Zoocasa says a total of 1,208 homes were brought to market, down 6.2 per cent from the same month in 2018.

Zoocasa says that’s eased buying conditions slightly for detached and attached houses and condos for sale in Mississauga, pulling the sales-to-new-listings ratio, which measures the level of competition in the market, to 54.5 per cent. This means that the market is in within balanced territory.

Home prices are up 3 per cent to an average of $738,673.
