A popular halal food tour will soon be making its way around Southern Ontario, and it’s sure to be full of great eats.

The Annual Halal Food Tour by Night Market Toronto has been known to draw crowds of 28,000 per weekend. They’re now kicking off a six-week tour of neighbouring cities next month.

There will be over 15 vendors present on the tour including The Holy Grill, HalalMeals and Heirloom Toronto.

This year, in addition to all the great halal food there will be a farmers’ market with local businesses as well as carnival rides and all-ages entertainment like cultural performers, singers and Disney characters for kids.

The tour is set to kick off in Mississauga in the P3 parking lot of Square One. In honour of Mississauga’s 50th birthday, there will be some contests exclusive to the Mississauga portion of the tour, like a chance to win a $500 gift card for Square One. A SalaamCola drink is also going to be debuting in Mississauga at Square One, with products expected to sell out the first day.

From May 3 to 5, the tour will be at Mississauga’s Square One Shopping Centre, from May 10 to 12 at the Ajax GO Station, May 17 to 19 in Kitchener/Waterloo, May 24 to 26 at Scarborough Town Centre, May 31 to June 2 at Milton GO Station, and from June 8 to 9 at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre.

The tour will be operating Fridays from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the exception of Toronto Harbourfront Centre which will operate on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
